Sport LawSafe

This policy covers personal liability which arises as a result of an individuals involvement in a sporting and/or social event.

Examples of individuals for whom protection is provided include:

  • Volunteer in a school fun run
  • Marshall on local triathlon
  • Co-ordinators of a local fishing contest
  • Officials of a National Sporting body, eg NZ Rowing Association
  • Organisers of a community event, eg Jazz in the Park
Cover for individuals in these capacities include:
  • Serious traffic offences
  • Liability under statute, eg Health and Safety in Employment, Resource Management
  • Action brought by the Police under the Crimes Act, eg Criminal Nuisance
Two types of policies are available:
  • Single Event
  • Annual
